What is MSME / Udyam Registration?

Udyam Registration is a free government registration that certifies your business as a Micro, Small or Medium Enterprise under the MSMED Act 2006. Since 2020, it has replaced the old Udyog Aadhaar system. Registration is 100% free at udyamregistration.gov.in and gives you a unique 12-digit Udyam Registration Number (URN) — your passport to 20+ government schemes and benefits.

How to Register — Completely Free

1. Visit: udyamregistration.gov.in
2. Select: "For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet"
3. Enter Aadhaar of proprietor/managing partner/director
4. Verify OTP on Aadhaar-linked mobile
5. PAN, GST, ITR data auto-filled from government databases
6. Select NIC Activity code (business type)
7. Submit — URN certificate generated instantly
